(The Arachnids)
And the Spirit of the Lord
Came upon Samson once again
It took him down to Ashkelon
He struck down thirty men
He took all their belongings
And bore their clothes away
To use them for the forfeit
He promised he would pay
And Samson he was seething
Oh boy ! Was Samson mad ?
The Philistines had wronged him
So vengeance Samson had
His wife, meanwhile, was given to
The one who'd been best man
Some best man to take his wife
Who needs that kind of man ?
He took a harvest goat for her
To celebrate the day
But as he went up to her room
Her father barred the way
And Samson he was seething
Oh boy ! Was Samson mad ?
The Philistines had wronged him
So vengeance Samson had
"You didn't want her anyway
She's not the girl for you
You'd really like her sister though
She's very tasty too"
"The Philistines have gone too far
I'll even up the score
Just to show how mad I am
I'll harm them even more"
So he caught three hundred foxes
And he tied their tails in twos
He fixed a torch to every pair
And then he set them loose
And Samson he was seething
Oh boy ! Was Samson mad ?
The Philistines had wronged him
So vengeance Samson had
Oh Samson he was seething
Oh boy ! Was Samson mad ?
The Philistines had wronged him
So vengeance Samson had |
